Andrew Lloyd Webber was born on March 22, 1948 - one of the Chinese Rat years. He is an English composer and has achieved great popular success in musical theatre.

Very few composers are as commercially successful as Lloyd Webber. He has been referred to as "the most commercially successful composer in history" by the New York Times.

Lloyd Webber has a company called Really Useful Group which is located in London and is one of the largest theatre operators in that city.

Though Lloyd Webber has enjoyed his popular fame pretty long, his 2011 new show, the Wizard of Oz, which he and Jeremy Sams have adapted from the celebrated MGM film for the stage, has recieved some disappointed reviews.
